Leicht has spent his entire professional career at Morgan Melhuish Abrutyn,
having become a partner in 1996. He is one of the firm’s senior trial attorneys
and has successfully tried numerous cases in both State and Federal Court. Mr. Leicht
concentrates his practice in the following areas:
- Professional malpractice and complex civil litigation;
- Transportation and trucking;
- Civil rights and municipal liability;
- Products liability;
- General personal injury;
- General equity and commercial litigation.
Mr. Leicht has also successfully handled appellate matters
in the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Division, as well as the United States Court
of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

In addition to his litigation and appellate practice, Mr. Leicht represents diverse
clientele in administrative, disciplinary and labor hearings. He has also served as a mediator
and arbitrator in numerous matters at the request of colleagues.
Mr. Leicht is a member of the firm’s executive committee and was recognized in New Jersey
Monthly magazine as a “Super Lawyer” in the field of Civil Litigation Defense in 2005-2012 ("Top 100" in 2009, 2010 and 2012).
He was also recognized in New York magazine as one of the New York area’s “Top Lawyers”
in 2006-2012, in the fields of Personal Injury Litigation and Transportation Law.
