Ed concentrates his practice on professional liability matters, where he defends attorneys, accountants, engineers and architects in malpractice actions in both New Jersey and New York courts. Ed also represents insurers in coverage matters and defends parties in personal injury cases.
Prior to joining the firm, Ed clerked for the Honorable Bruno Mongiardo, J.S.C., of the Passaic County Superior Court. While at New York Law School, he was a member of the New York Law School Law Review, and graduated magna cum laude.
Elise concentrates her practice in the area of professional liability matters, where she defends attorneys, architects and real estate brokers. She also has substantial experience litigating general civil litigation, employment discrimination, products liability and premises liability matters.
Jeff dedicates his practice to defending workers’ compensation matters. He has extensive experience handling all types of workers’ compensation claims from inception through trial. He regularly appears in workers’ compensation court statewide and often deals with complex issues in workers’ compensation including third-party litigation involving Section 40, fraud, Medicare lien investigations involving Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Set-Aside Plans. He also concentrates on professional liability matters, where he defends attorneys, real estate brokers and other licensed professionals.
Eric has significant experience defending all types of professionals – including attorneys, architects, engineers, medical professionals, nursing homes and insurance professionals – in the New York and New Jersey courts. He also has extensive experience in representing insurers in coverage actions and defending contractors, developers, manufacturers and businesses in complex personal injury, property damage, product liability and construction matters.
While at Cardozo Law School, Eric clerked for the Honorable Charles Ramos, Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division, and participated in the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program conducted by Professor Barry Scheck. At Tufts, he served as the sole intern for the President of the University, was the Sports Editor for the Tufts Daily, studied at City University in London, England and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity.
Josh has extensive experience in, and dedicates the majority of his practice to, advocating on behalf of professionals, including attorneys, architects, engineers, doctors, and insurance producers, from the filing of an Answer through trial. He has also defended clients in significant and complex commercial, personal injury, and employment litigation throughout state and federal court in New Jersey.
In addition, Josh is a skilled appellate advocate achieving successful results in matters before the Appellate Division and Supreme Court of New Jersey as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
Kathleen dedicates her practices to defending workers’ compensation matters. She regularly handles all types of workers’ compensation claims through trial and on appeal.
In addition, Kathleen also has extensive experience in all facets of the litigation process. She has not only defended clients in Division of Workers’ Compensation, but also in various venues, including the municipal, state and federal courts of New Jersey. She has tried cases through verdict in the state courts of New York and New Jersey and before the Division of Worker’s Compensation. She has also argued before the Appellate Division of New Jersey and successfully opposed a Petition for Certification before the New Jersey Supreme Court in the matter Ferraro v. Pepsi Cola, Inc., 205 N.J. 99, 13 A. 2d 362 (2011).
Prior to joining the firm, Kathleen worked as staff counsel for a major insurer. She also previously worked for a defense firm where she represented clients in workers’ compensation, public entity liability, premises liability and professional malpractice matters.
Kathleen is also active in the legal community. She was reappointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to the District IIA (North Bergen County) Ethics Committee for the 2014-2018 term after serving from 2010 to 2014. In 2018, Kathleen was appointed as a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Executive Committee. The Workers’ Compensation Executive Committee studies and develops changes in the administration and procedures pertaining to New Jersey Workers’ Compensation. Kathleen is active in Women Lawyers in Bergen and she is a past President of the organization after having served on the Executive Board for many years.
Mark handles complex civil litigation and specializes in litigating insurance coverage disputes in the trial and appellate courts in New Jersey and New York. He regularly represents insurers in coverage disputes involving construction defects, personal and commercial automobile liability, environmental damage, property damage, bodily injury, personal injury, advertising injury, product defect, additional insurance, indemnification, bad faith and fraud claims. In addition, his practice includes the defense of insureds in these areas of liability.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mark has extensive experience in providing opinions to insurers on coverage issues involving all types of insurance policies. Clients have also called upon him to review policy forms for compliance and to author endorsements for insurance for the construction and trucking industries.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Mark had a successful career in criminal justice, with distinguished service in the following civilian and military law enforcement agencies: Corrections Officer at Florida State Prison, 1995-1999; Duty Officer with the Florida Marine Patrol, 1993-1995; and Military Police Patrolman with the United States Marine Corps, 1987-1993.
